Stage Five Provides Comprehensive Support to SYS AI Foundation to Develop Global AI Talent

Stage Five (CEO Sangwon Seo) announced on the 12th that it will support the SYS AI Foundation (Chairman Kim Jae-geuk) to help develop the next generation of global AI talent.

The decision came from Stage Five's ESG Committee, chaired by Min Won-ki, Visiting Distinguished Professor at the KAIST Kim Jaechul Graduate School of AI. The committee has long stressed the need for AI talent with hands-on, practical skills. Stage Five will support the SYS AI Foundation in several ways. The goal is to train practically skilled talent who can broaden Korea's AI ecosystem and drive the growth of the industry.

Google engineers and leading systems software scholars from Seoul National University and KAIST founded the SYS AI Foundation, a non-profit, to develop global AI talent. The Foundation teaches core AI technologies, including the Linux kernel, storage, memory management and AI infrastructure, through a practice-oriented curriculum. It also offers expert mentoring from engineers at major Silicon Valley tech companies and global networking programs. These programs help the next generation of AI talent build their technical skills and compete globally.

Stage Five will draw on its AI technology expertise and its experience running services to help strengthen the Foundation's curriculum. Sangwon Seo, CEO of Stage Five, will sit on the Foundation's board himself. He plans to bring the latest AI trends from the field into the curriculum and lead the development of industry-ready talent. The company is also making donations to keep the Foundation's operations stable and to build a lasting environment for developing talent.
